The Visionary was commissioned by Yarra Valley Grammar School in order to celebrate 50 years since it was founded.

The sculpture depicts an androgynous young person looking to the distance, seemingly lost in thought. Its upright yet relaxed stance, along with the direction of its gaze, provide an impression of hope, purpose and vision.
